2000 911 Carrera Coupe (996)
Presented here is a 2000 Porsche 996 Carrera Coupe, 6-speed, elegantly finished in Black with a Savannah Beige Leather interior. The 996 was the first entirely new 911 since 1964. Excellence magazine reported it as, “Larger yet lighter than its predecessor, the 996 was also more powerful, more refined, more aerodynamic, and easier to drive than the 993.” This example, presently with just over 69k on the odometer, underwent an ‘engine-out’ 60k service including a clutch replacement, oil cooler seals, new water pump, fuel injection seals, oil separator, spark plugs, and drive belts, and the critically important IMS bearing upgrade, at Rolls Royce-Bentley of Nashville.
The non-metallic Black exterior is complemented by staggered 18” Turbo Twist wheels, colored wheel crests, and Michelin tires, Xenon headlights, headlight washers, color matched side mirrors, dual exhaust, a dealer installed Aero Kit Rear Wing Spoiler, and Carrera Side Script, the background of which is color-matched to the silver wheels.
The Savannah Beige Partial Leather interior features an Alcantara headliner, 6-disc CD changer Becker Porsche CDC-3 radio, and Porsche Stability Management, and driver/passenger front airbags and side impact airbags. Also included is a 4-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, special soft-touch grain on the console, door trim, instrument panel, and other areas, aluminum-look trim for the shifter, door handles and handbrake release button.
This 996, equipped with a 3.4 L flat-six engine rated at 296 HP and 258 lb.-ft of torque, can post a 0-60 time of approximately 5 seconds. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 6-speed manual transmission.
