Purchased by our consignor in 2012 and only logging a mere 1,500 during his ownership, this 3.6 liter flat 6 with twin turbos and all wheel drive goes like hell! A gorgeous black interior, full leather jacket equipped, and silver exterior, with tons of maintenance and service receipts and life is very good, for a great value, you can be in the seat of a 911. Exterior Direct from Stuttgart, this beauty is bathed in Arctic Silver Metallic which shows a few faults here and there, but nothing out of the ordinary that would come from normal use. Gaps are well minded all the while maintaining its super swept back lines, airflow cowls and black trimmed glass. All integrated bumpers and lighting this car remains very slippery as it knifes through the air. The convenience of a power sunroof is on top which melts into a long sweeping rear glass that shakes hands at the back with a now fixed position spoiler and continues the line in the round with dual exhaust protruding through the skin of the car at the bottom. 18-inch 5 spoke wheels in silver are on all 4 corners, and large disc brakes with drilled rotors can be seen through these wheels which sport red calipers. These hoops are wrapped in 225/40ZR18’s up front and 295/30ZR18’s in the back showing production dates of 2017 and 2018 respectively. Interior Maintaining its racy sportiness but adding a touch of comfort we swing the doors and are greeted with a mixture of molded plastic rounded panels and stitched leather inserts. At the bottom is a wave of undulating carpet in black. High black buckets draped in leather with some age appropriate folds and nice signs of use as well as care are flanked by a sculpted center console which includes more black and is housing for the windows and glovebox. A small ergonomic shifter sits near the dash as it swoops upward where instruments for climate controls, a CD slot and the aftermarket AM/FM/CD stereo. Leafing through our consignors notes shows that the original radio is included. In front of the steering wheel is a cascade of round instruments within a black cluster panel. Creature comforts like A/C, climate control, cruise control, power seats, power windows, power locks and behind the steering wheel stalk controls have all been optioned on this car. Black carpet floods the floors, and a nice black fuzzy cloth headliner frames the sunroof. Drivetrain Shoehorned into the back of this sports car is a 3.6 liter DOHC flat-6 cylinder twin turbo that produces 415 horses. This mill has EFI and a 6-speed manual transmission that sends power to all 4 wheels via 3.44 geared axles. Undercarriage Plenty of ground effects panels, all clean and rust free on this car. Independent coil spring suspension all around and power disc brakes adorn each corner. We note the factory exhaust looking nearly new and ready to make some melodious music. Drive-Ability This car lights right up and runs smoothly at all RPM’s. It is docile enough to drive easily up main street, yet powerful enough to tear the markings off the street. Even through the turns it remains stuck to the asphalt and maintains good handling at speed. This car is high on the list for creature comforts despite the fact you are in the little brother of a race car. For 2001 not bad on the technology front. There are some innovations that have come to the forefront since, but this particular car has been well maintained, driven sparingly, and has great looks to boot.
