1973 Porsche 911E Targa
Freehold, New Jersey
Mostly preserved, intact example with its original power plant, mechanical fuel injection (MFI) system, air conditioning, and color combination. Highly-optioned car from the factory that is well-documented from new with original paperwork in German. Original tool roll, jack, spare, keys, manuals, and maintenance book. Black and Tan, a real factory A/C car, and an optional 5 speed car. Records include original Dealer invoice in German, the original Window sticker in German. Porsche C of A. The original Maintenance Booklet, the original owner manual, original keys, complete, original tool roll, original jack and spare.
Work has been done to the car as needed to maintain it at a high level. The Targa Top is excellent. The paint and body panels are excellent. Service records have been retained with the car in a binder and reflect the following changes from original:
1. SS Heat Exchangers added
2. Newer Blaupunct Radio added (I do not have the original radio)
3. Upgraded Carrera chain tensioners
4. Upgraded Turbo Tie-rods
5. H4 headlamps
6. Carrera valve covers
7. Michelin XWX Tires, date coded 12-13th week of 2016
True 60,000-mile example. The stainless-steel roll bar is excellent. It has its original interior, dash, gauges, door cards, carpeting, etc. All function as designed by the factory.
Recent extensive maintenance with over $10,000 spent on MFI & engine tuning, brake work including new hoses and a full rebuild of the 4 calipers with new pads, suspension work that including new sway bar bushings in the rear, raising the car about 2” (it was way too low in the rear), and some electrical work. Fresh engine oil & filter and transmission lube. Numerous other maintenance work completed. All invoices, and all service performed is documented in the binder. The car runs great, is tight, powerful, and stops very well. This 911 really needs nothing.
